Departure from Vicenza at 2:00 p.m. by private minibus for the afternoon tour (4 1/2 hours).
First we arrive at the walled town of Montagnana, where you can admire the beautiful exterior of Villa Pisani.
We then continue to Villa Pojana, which was commissioned in 1546 to Andrea Palladio by Francesco Poiana. The façade is devoid of any elements in stone and capitals, while still maintaining its proportions. The interior is reminescent of the thermal baths of ancient Rome: the large rectangular room is flanked by smaller rooms.
The following stop is Orgiano with a visit to Villa Fracanzan Piovene. Built in 1700 by Francesco Muttoni, the villa is surrounded by a park of forty acres. It is one of the villas included in the UNESCO world heritage list of Palladian villas. The villa is famous for its kitchen, with its collection of copperware and the pink marble sink, which Napoleon wanted to bring to the Louvre.
At the end of the visits, drive back to Vicenza.
